Component records
Retain aircraft and component identifiers for later spare-parts enquiries.
Start with the equipment identity.
- Aircraft identificationProvide the model name, serial plate photo and approximate purchase date. Include the supplier or order reference if available.
- Component identificationPhotograph the component label, connectors, mounting points and the part in its installed position. Include a part number or revision marking where available.
- Symptoms and operating contextDescribe what happened, any displayed error and the configuration in use. Do not infer compatibility from appearance alone.
Choose the right support enquiry.
Replacement parts
Send the identification information, requested quantity and destination. Availability, compatibility and the proposed replacement are confirmed by the supplier before quoting.
Product documentation
Ask for the manual, configuration sheet or maintenance document relevant to the exact aircraft version. A general brochure may not describe the installed system.
Order support scope
Confirm training, troubleshooting, warranty responsibility and service channels in the written offer. Coverage depends on the agreed supplier terms and equipment package.
Before fitting a replacement.
Have the supplier confirm the electrical rating, connector, mounting dimensions, software or firmware requirements and component revision. Follow the applicable manual and use qualified service personnel. A parts enquiry is not approval to continue operating an aircraft with an unresolved fault.
Can you confirm parts compatibility from a photo?
A photo helps identify the component, but the aircraft version and part markings may also be required. The supplier must confirm compatibility before the replacement is offered.
Is a warranty automatically included?
Warranty scope, responsible party, exclusions and claim process must be confirmed in the written offer. This page does not establish warranty coverage for equipment purchased elsewhere.
